Parsons Grabs The Challenger Feature At Flamboro

November 1, 2003 - A great showing at Flamboro for our Sunset drivers as four teams managed to make it down for the rain rescheduled feature races. Vic Parsons started mid-pack, got his way to the front early, took the lead and never looked back. He truly was the dominant car in the early going, but he did have to deal with heavy pressure from Kyle Donaldson late in the race.

Brent Travis and Ron Lethbridge also raced in the Challenger feature, and both had solid runs finishing fourth and fifth respectively. All three cars came away relatively unscathed in what turned out to be one of the better races of the day.

Joe Sherman was the lone Sunset car able to make it out for the Four Cylinder feature. He started near the back and was solidly working his way forward until he got caught up in a heavy battle gone sour between two other cars, suffering a flat front left tire. Sherman was able to get off the track and get the tire changed, but the green flew before he could get back on the track.

Vic Parsons (#1) takes the lead on the front straight.

Ron Lethbridge rounds turn 2.

Brent Travis' team with some final tweaking.

Joe Sherman (#42) in heavy traffic.

Early laps on the front stretch.
