The management and staff of Sunset Speedway
welcome you to our auto racing facility for the 2001 racing season. As the season
progresses we hope to present the most exciting racing program in Southern Ontario for you
- our fans. Our schedule includes many different types of auto racing for your enjoyment.
Our racing program will consist of Late Models, Challengers, and Thunder
Cars/Trucks. Our special attractions will include visits from T.Q. Can-Am
Midgets and the Canadian Vintage Modified Coupes. We are pleased
to announce the return of the Alstar Series for Late Models,
in conjunction with Sauble Speedway, Peterborough Speedway, Cayuga Speedway and
Flamborough Speedway. This should prove to be an exciting series for the many
fans of the Late Models. We would like to take this opportunity to
welcome our new corporate sponsor, The Plan Group and our sponsors from last year, Pepsi Cola Canada, Kicx 104.1 Hot New Country, Rock 95.7FM
and to thank all our other sponsors who make our racing program possible. We would also
like to thank Highland Chev-Olds Cadillac in
Aurora, now on board with Sunset Speedway
for the 16th year, for again providing us with our pace vehicle - a 2001
Alero. All of our sponsors support this racing facility and its
drivers. We hope that our fans will continue to support them.Throughout the season, we
hope you will enjoy the many special events which we have scheduled for your
entertainment. Don't forget our long weekend double shows, with a Giant
Fireworks Display on those Sunday Nights. This year will again mark the
return of Kids Bicycle Races on dates
specified in our 2001 Racing Schedule. We have attempted to bring you a fun filled, action
packed racing season and look forward to seeing all of our fans back again, along with
many more new faces.
