2009 Outlaw Mini Stocks

ELIGIBLE MODELS:

 1. Models 1970 thru 2009 four cylinder front or rear wheel drive passenger cars permitted. NO: BMW, PORSCHE, CONVERTABLES, STATION WAGONS, FOUR WHEEL DRIVES, ALL WHEEL DRIVES, TURBO OR SUPERCHARGERS OR NITROUS PERMITTED. Front engine, left side drive only. Maximum wheelbase 108 inches.

CHASSIS:

1. Roll cage must be constructed of a minimum of 1.75 inch O.D. x .090 wall steel required. Four horizontal door bars required on drivers side. Cage must be securely mounted to the chassis in a safe manner. Front hoop bars are mandatory in front of the radiator. Frame must be tied together with minimum 2 x 2 .100 wall square tube. Frame must be “X”ed under the floor for strength.

2. Front strut towers may be modified for caster, camber and chassis height. All modifications must remain invisible from outside of car. Chassis height will be minimum 4 inches from ground to lowest point on the chassis. Skirt height will be minimum 3 inches from the ground.

3. Any adjustable spring spacers, shims, shackles, or lowering blocks permitted. Springs must remain in stock location. Racing springs allowed.

4. Coil over shock and spring units allowed.

5. Any rear end.

6. Automatic, manual transmissions or trans-axles permitted. All forward and reverse gears must be in working order. Car must be self starting.

7.     Headers are permitted. Exhaust must exit under the car or out the right side behind the driver seat. Mufflers are mandatory. In order to accommodate the exhaust system, the right side stock floor may be cut out and a minimum 20 gauge steel floor may be fabricated.
 
8.     Four wheel working brakes mandatory. Brake kit’s that utilize the stock caliper brackets are allowed (i.e. baer brake kit). No fabricating of caliper brackets or altering of steering components.
 
9. Any radiator allowed.

BODY:

1. All exterior trim, chrome, lights, plastic and interior upholstery must be removed. Lexan windshield with 2 center braces recommended. No mesh windshields.

2. All interior firewall and floor pan openings must be covered with a minimum of 20 gauge steel.

3. All bodies & body parts must be stock appearing. Body kits are allowed.

4. Any rear spoiler is permitted. It is to be mounted in the center of the body and be no wider than the body at the mounting points. All bracing is to be in the rear of the spoiler. Driver must be able to see around or through spoiler. Side pods allowed.

5. Tubing bumpers will be allowed as long as it is behind a bumper cover and has no sharp edges. The ends must be rounded.

6. Rub rails are permitted. Maximum of 1 inch by 1 inch permitted. Must be flush mounted to the body.

7. Fuel cells only. They must be securely mounted in a safe manner.

8. Batteries must be safely mounted and covered. Batteries can be moved to behind the drivers seat provided it is mounted in a spill proof container.

ENGINES:

DOHC: Stock displacement, stock compression. No internal engine modifications. Power adders allowed.

V-Tec & Variable Valve Timing: Stock Compression. Any power adders allowed.

Non V-Tec: 12 : 1 compression. Any power adders allowed.

1. Steel fabricated engine and transmission mounts permitted.

2. Engine block and head must be stock for make.

3. Maximum engine displacement will be 2500cc or 2.5 litres.

4. Heads to be original OEM factory production for make of vehicle used. NO AFTERMARKET HEADS ARE ALLOWED.

5. All engines must retain a zero or greater deck height with flat top or dished pistons and no part of the piston may protrude above the top of the block.

6. Any engine pulleys permitted.

7. Any ignition system allowed.

8. Any oil pan allowed.

9. Any single disc clutch. Steel flywheels only.

10. All cars with an electric fuel pump are required to have an electrical shut off within the drivers reach. It must be appropriately marked.

11. After market manifolds allowed. Any 2 or 4 barrel carburetors allowed. No Alcohol allowed.

12. Air filter assemblies are required. All carburetors and air cleaners must remain under the hood.

WEIGHT:

2 valve motors - 2400 lbs

3 valve motors - 2450 lbs

4 valve motors - 2500 lbs

V-Tec motors - 2550 lbs

DOHC motors - 2600 lbs

1. Weight to be checked with driver in proper seated position in the car. Maximum 55% left side and 50% rear weight. No tolerances will be allowed on left or total!

WHEELS:

1. Maximum 15 inch steel racing wheels only. Maximum 8 inches wide.

2. Over sized wheel nuts mandatory. 5/8ths wheel studs are recommended on all 4 corners.

Tires:

Track mandated tire will be named in the near future.

PENALTIES:

THE DISCRETION OF THE TECH DEPARTMENT IN ALL MATTERS CONCERNING THESE RULES WILL BE FINAL AND IN ALL CASES ALL PENALTIES WILL BE DETERMINED ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS.
