| WHAT ARE THESE RACES ALL ABOUT? April 28th/2002 |

| I think of "Heat" races as warm-ups or getting ready for the feature. The "heats" are 10 laps and the top five finishers receive points, 8 for first down to 3 for 5th place. Heats are run twice, with the starting positions reversed for the 2nd heat. A perfect night, or "Hat Trick" for a driver is collecting 100 pts., which is the maximum. | ||
| A feature win is worth 84 pts., and combine that with 2 heat wins, for 16 pts.and the "Hat Trick" is made. You can keep track yourself each night. Bring a pen and follow the points battle on the Race Results page of our Program. The number of heat races is determined by the amount of competitors on board that night. | ||
|
After the heats are over, drivers not
in the top five try to qualify for the "feature" by racing in the "Consi".
This race is for position only, in the 25 lap feature race, up to 24
cars. This race can be very interesting, because some nights a Race
points leader may have a bad night, and must qualify in the Consi, and
he could miss the feature and lose valuable pts. No points or money
are awarded in the Consi.

| After the Consi races are done, we have a break, and then we run four 25 lap features. | ||
| Nightly Sponsor Trophies are awarded to heat and Feature winners, and all competitors in these races receive money. | ||
| In some races, you may notice a car or two at the rear of the pack, and not in race formation. This (or these) car(s) has been given permission by officials to run "Hot Laps", to see how the car is running after repairs were made in the pits. He (or she) must not interfere, or pass any of the competitors. | ||
